Rustic Living is focused on decorating, building and remodeling, crafts, entertaining, cooking, and gardening. In addition to providing useful tools and advice, it is our goal to search for information on the latest developments and trends around home and garden. Rustic Living was designed with you in mind while "Creating the Life You Love."

A native Californian, Lisa Furugen lived in Hawaii for over 20 years then returned to California in 2002 and still resides in the beautiful mountain community of Idyllwild.

Lisa has directed musical theatre and performance groups for the past 30 years. An accomplished vocalist, Lisa is also a teacher of voice and piano.

Lisa enjoys dabbling in home improvement, crafts, cooking, gardening and decorating.

Lisa's passion for Emergency Preparedness, Home Food Storage Programs, and Geneology has led her to give seminars on those subjects.

Lisa is the owner of the "Rustic Cabin", a home decor store, which she decided to close last year to develop her store online; "Rustic Living Online". Along with selling on Ebay and Yardsellr, Lisa has kept very busy.

I have always had a passion to write about my hobbies and interests. After hearing about Hubpages and learning a little more about it, I decided to join and and see what the "Hub" bub was all about!

Without hesitation, I AM HOOKED!
